On Monday, 26th May 2025, an insightful session titled,” Gap টা কোথায়  “took place which focused on the gap between academic and tech industries hosted by AIUB Computer Club and referenced by Dr.Khandaker Tabin Hasan, Professor and Head[Graduate Program] of Department of Computer Science, AIUB. The guests were, Mr. Abhijit Bhowmik, Associate Professor and Special Assistant of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), Department of Computer Science, AIUB (Chief Guest), Noor-E-Fayzun Nahar, Head of Programs of IHF and Sefayetul Islam, Branch Manager of IFIC Bank (Bashundhara). It also featured Riyaz Ali, Project Manager of Qinetic Network, Muhammad Joy, Business Development Manager of  Edutechs and Tahmid Khan, Co-founder of BacharLorai. This session was facilitated with interaction and dialogue with professionals from multiple sectors, rewarding the discussion with a broad perspective on the tech industry. The session was held from 4 pm to 6 pm and highlighted the dilemma often faced by fresh graduates entering the tech industry, as the recruiter has a high demand for skills. Diving deep into the various sectors of the tech industry and corporate world, gave an insight into the skills needed to step into the tech world and build communication.

On November 17, 2024, the AIUB Computer Club hosted an inspiring seminar titled “Mastering the Art of Pitching.” This event was part of the series Unlocking the Secrets of Successful Entrepreneurship, presented by the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) and supported by the BASIS Students’ Forum AIUB Chapter. The seminar aimed to help aspiring entrepreneurs develop essential communication, storytelling, and pitching skills by learning directly from industry experts. Among the distinguished attendees was Professor Dr. Saiful Islam (Vice-Chancellor, AIUB), along with Mashiour Rahman (Senior Associate Professor , Dean-In-Charge , Faculty of Science & Technology ), Professor Dr. Dip Nondi (Professor and Associate Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology), Dr. Debajyoti  Karmaker (Associate Professor, Head [Undergraduate Program], Faculty of Science & Technology),  Dr. Md. Abdullah-Al-Jubair (Senior Assistant Professor, Director, Faculty of Science & Technology), Mr. Abhijit Bhowmik (Associate Professor and Special Assistant to the Office of Student Affairs, AIUB) ,and other faculty members whose presence and insights inspired all attendees.

The 3rd International Conference on Computing Advancements (ICCA), themed “Age of Computing and Augmented Life,” was successfully held at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) on October 17-18, 2024. Organized by the Department of Computer Science in cooperation with ACM SIGAPP, the conference attracted researchers, academicians, and industry professionals from across the globe to share knowledge and present their latest innovations.

ICCA 2024 received an overwhelming number of more than 400 paper submissions, with 145 accepted in diverse fields such as Intelligent Systems, Machine Vision, Cryptography, and Human-Computer Interaction. The conference aims to bridge the gap between academic research and industry practice, establishing itself as a leading international forum for computing advancements. Accepted papers will be published in the ACM Digital Library, underscoring the significance of the research showcased at the event.

AIUB CS Fest 2024, presented by the Office of Student Affairs and organized by AIUB Computer Club (ACC) was hosted from April 25th to April 28th at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). An event like no other AIUB CS Fest 2024 had an array of thrilling segments, including the ICT Olympiad, Networking Contest, Programming Contest, Math Olympiad, Story Writing Competition, App Showcasing, Logo Design Competition, Drone Race Competition, Poster / Idea Presentation, Art Competition, Science Project Showcasing and lastly, Robot Soccer Competition.

On April 25, 2024, AIUB CS Fest 2024 began with great enthusiasm as participants from various schools, colleges and institutions gathered at the AIUB campus. The event’s first day was filled with various segments that set the bar high, including coding contests, app showcases, ICT Olympiads and more. The Junior and Senior Programming Contests took center stage in the morning, with competitors racing against the clock to solve coding challenges. Six percent of junior participants solved at least one problem, while four percent of seniors achieved the same. Throughout the day, the App Showcasing segment featured over 40 teams displaying a new range of applications, from study aids to games, demonstrating their technical creativity and skill.

On March 6th, 2024, The ICT Ministry organized a seminar on “Unlock Your Innovation Potential: A call for Research & Innovation By RIC” in collaboration with AIUB Computer Club at 3:00 p.m. The seminar took place in Multipurpose Hall, D Building, AIUB. The primary objectives of the seminar were to learn from influential individuals about the ICT Ministry’s EDGE Project and to explore how innovation and research can be integrated into Bangladeshi education through a Q&A session. Mr. Rusafi Alam (Project Manager, Digital Economy Strategy, EDGE Project) was the seminar’s honorable speaker.

on Saturday, 25 November 2023 American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB) organized the annual AIUB Job Fair 2023 under LEDP (Learning & Earning Development Project), ICT Ministry. The fair inaugurated in the D building’s auditorium of AIUB at 10:30 AM. The national Anthem was played to commemorate the contributions of “Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman” and our honorable Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, who designed Smart Bangladesh. The host gave a hearty welcome before the job fair got underway. As the keynote speaker at the “Smart Job Fair,” Mohammad Navid Safiullah (The Joint Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Ministry) advised attendees to gain more skills to become more skilled citizens of a smart Bangladesh.

On October 9, 2023, GenNext Technologies Ltd organized a seminar titled “Empowering smart Bangladesh through Meghna Cloud” with the support of AIUB Computer Club. MS. Radia Noushin (General member of AIUB Computer Club) hosted the seminar at the Auditorium, D Building of the American International University – Bangladesh. The main purpose of the seminar was to introduce the revolutionary contribution of Meghna Cloud in the digital landscape. It also offers the opportunity and guidelines of the technology for students so that they can engage themselves for future success. The chief guest of the seminar was Mr. Sayeef Rahman, (The Operation Officer of GenNext Technologies Ltd. and the speaker of Keynote). He discussed the value of the internet and cloud computing system networking in his address. He started off by having a very interesting conversation with the students and answering their questions. He started out by explaining Meghna Cloud and its role in the networking system.
