Abstract: Teacher performance evaluation is an essential task in the field of education. In recent years, aspect-based sentiment analysis (ABSA) has emerged as a promising technique for evaluating teaching performance by providing a more nuanced analysis of student evaluations. This article presents a novel approach for creating a large-scale dataset for ABSA of teacher performance evaluation. The dataset was constructed by collecting student feedback from American International University-Bangladesh and then labeled by undergraduate-level students into three sentiment classes: positive, negative, and neutral. The dataset was carefully cleaned and preprocessed to ensure data quality and consistency. The final dataset contains over 2,000,000 student feedback instances related to teacher performance, making it one of the largest datasets for ABSA of teacher performance evaluation. This dataset can be used to develop and evaluate ABSA models for teacher performance evaluation, ultimately leading to better feedback and improvement for educators. The results of this study demonstrate the usefulness and effectiveness of ABSA in evaluating teacher performance and highlight the importance of creating high-quality datasets for this task.

Abstract The Agile Methodology is a term that refers to a method of software development that is incremental and iterative in nature and is used to manage and incorporate constantly changing needs. This entails decomposing the entire development process cycle into a series of tasks. The process is further divided into a number of sub-tasks, each function is independently. The Agile Development technique, which is a popular and growth-oriented strategy, provides not only speedy project delivery but also software responsiveness, which leads to total corporate growth and agility.The organization’s project management capabilities and performance are improved through the adoption of Agile practices. In their business, the companies employ Agile methods. As a result, the goal of this study is to see how effective agile approaches are in Bangladeshi software organizations. A survey of established software companies in Bangladesh is being conducted to accomplish the objective. The Scrum and XP agile technique is the most widely used according to the findings. It is proposed that Scrum and the XP model be combined to achieve maximum effectiveness and overcome their respective limits.

Abstract This paper presents a trend analysis of crimes in Bangladesh based on the data provided by Bangladesh Police for the last ten years, from 2010 to 2019. The data contains the number of different crimes organized by the police units in different areas of Bangladesh. The aim of this work is to analyze the crimes committed in the last ten years, establish relationships between the different types of crimes, and identify patterns between them. In order to analyze the data, the dataset provided by Bangladesh Police is transformed into different forms, and then the correlation between different features is determined. The four most important features or crime types, namely murder, narcotics, smuggling, and dacoity, are analyzed in depth by analyzing the significance of the features. This study presents the overall scenario of the crime types and rates observed in the last decade and could be of great help to the law enforcement agencies to make future decisions based on the analysis presented in this paper.

Abstract- Medical care is one of the most basic human needs. Due to the global shortage of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare personnel, medical cyber-physical systems are quickly becoming a viable option. Post-diagnosis surveillance is an essential application of these systems, which can be performed more successfully using various monitoring devices rather than active observation by nurses in their physical presence. However, most existing solutions for this application are rigid and do not consider current difficulties. Intelligent and adaptive systems can overcome the challenges because of the advances in relevant technology, especially healthcare 4.0. Therefore, this work presents an adaptive system based on cloud and edge computing architecture and machine learning approaches to perform post-diagnosis medical tasks on patients, thus reducing the need for nurses, especially in the post-diagnosis phase.

Abstract: — Due to the increased volume of national, international, and even intercontinental transportation, it has been a critical responsibility for the road and transport authorities to ensure the safety of the transits. Bridges, in particular, require special maintenance because these are typically built in strategic locations, are more vulnerable to natural disasters, and can inflict more damage to life and property if collapsed. In addition to being expensive and time-consuming, manual structure health monitoring (SHM) is also error-prone, but this is still the standard practice in many countries, especially in Bangladesh. This paper presents a deep learning approach to detect cracks in concrete bridge surfaces from images using Dense Convolutional Network (DenseNet) with 99.83% detection accuracy to automate SHM, making it less expensive, efficient, and accurate.

Abstract: This research paper presents an automated system for controlling and monitoring the cultivation of oyster mushrooms in a laboratory facility. The system uses an Internet of Things (IoT) based approach to automate the entire process. The main objective of this system is to make indoor mushroom cultivation easier and cost effective. The proposed system has proved to be very effective in saving labor costs by automatically monitoring and controlling the environment. Moreover, the proposed system has a real time update and monitoring feature which helps the grower to take immediate action. This paper provides a detailed insight into the project, including the development process, automation system, hardware setup, technical specifications, and results achieved after successful implementation.

Abstract — Recognition of handwritten characters is complex because of the different shapes and numbers of characters. Many handwritten character recognition strategies have been proposed for both English and other major dialects. Bengali is generally considered the fifth most spoken local language in the world. It is the official and most widely spoken language of Bangladesh and the second most widely spoken among the 22 posted dialects of India. To improve the recognition of handwritten Bengali characters, we developed a different approach in this study using face mapping. It is quite effective in distinguishing different characters. The real highlight is that the recognition results are more efficient than expected with a simple machine learning technique. The proposed method uses the Python library Scikit-Learn, including NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and support vector machine (SVM) classifiers. The proposed model uses a dataset derived from the Bangla Lekha isolated dataset for the training and testing part. The new approach shows positive results and looks promising. It showed accuracy up to 94% for a particular character and 91% on average for all characters.

Abstract – Here we have tried to find out suitable methods for IT companies of different ages. Some subject companies were chosen and given a survey form from which we got some data about different aged IT companies using different development methods. The models were between agile, agile process model, and other models. Through the survey, we found some data which can help different aged IT companies find the right model for their project development. The data analysis shows the suitable project method for different age companies. The subject companies also listed why they use their method and how long have been they using it. This survey result will help companies that are struggling to grow or companies which are about to start their project method. A good project method can bring success to a company.

Abstract – Software risk management is a critical and multistage process. All over the world, IT industries face threats during software risk management processes. Bangladesh is not exceptional. The principal goal of the research is to manage risk for Bangladesh’s IT industry. To gain a clear and transparent idea, a survey is the most effective way. The research arranged a survey questionnaire and collected data for risk impact areas on Bangladesh IT industry. A workable and feasible risk management approach prompts an idea for the risk-mitigating plan. In any case, the high proportion of IT project failures demonstrates the futility of risk mitigation activities. From the survey, it is discovered that the most irritating obstructions behind software disappointment are the presence of covered-up and inconspicuous risks and lack of user communication, and lack of proper training on new technology which is overlooked in the greater part of the models. The proposed model works with the improvement of the risk mitigation plan through four phases, the Dynamic Verifier Core (DVC) committee, and the New Unproven Technology (NUT) train-up team. Depending upon the survey replies added another unique feature called the New Unproven Technology (NUT) train-up team. The model considered all four phases of risk management, with the mitigation phase and training on new technologies receiving the greatest attention.

Abstract — For a long time, stock price forecasting has been a significant research topic. However, stock prices depend on various factors that cannot be predicted, and that’s the reason it is almost impossible to predict stock prices accurately. Many researchers have already worked in this area. Recently, the COVID-19 pandemic had a great effect on the stock market. The main purpose of this paper is to predict the stock closing prices for two major stock exchanges in Bangladesh and compare the prediction accuracy based on before and after pandemic data. The implemented models are Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). Raw datasets were considered, which were collected from Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE). Data preprocessing was done on both of the datasets. After analyzing the overall accuracy for each algorithm, it was found that LSTM provided better accuracy than ARIMA and SVM for both the DSE and CSE datasets.
